About Hair

So much to plan and things to do and go and see and book......
OMG My Hair.....

What do I do? Should I start growing it, or keep it as it is? Who should I get? Will my hairdresser do it? So do I go to my regular hairdresser at the Salon or will someone come to me? These are just a few things you need to decide. Having someone come to home is the most popular way, it is more relaxing and you have less chance of running late to get home for the photographer.......For you to plan your look, is one of the hardest things. So many girls will say to us, “I have no idea what I want!” There are so many different styles to choose from, but first and for most you need to know”Will my hair do that”. You need to book early...Most of the popular and professional Hairdressers do get booked early so if you have an idea of if whom you want book early......

Firstly and foremost, I suggest to start looking thru books and magazines and see if there is anything in particular that you may like. Don’t only look at things you do like, I suggest to look at thing you don’t like, that way we can have a better understanding as it is real hard to read mines, this way it gives us more to work with.
Finding the pictures you want can be done through the latest bridal magazines or via the internet, if you have no clue on what you would like, I can always help by knowing what your dress is like, jewellery, having a veil or not, like hair up or down, and take all facial and neck features into account and work with you to create something that suits your individuality..Bring the pictures of what your wanting with you, or even email them through to me, I am happy to keep them attached to your file that is create for you at time of booking....

If you go to a regular Hairdresser, work with them on the condition of your hair leading up to the wedding. Let them know if your wanting to where it up or wanting to keep length as they may cut too much off not leaving the length that is ideal for the creative look you want. I have often suggested that if your regular Hairdresser isn’t able to do your hair on the day and you book us for the wedding day, I am more than happy to chat with your hairdresser in regards to what I will need your hair to be on the day......sometimes us hairdressers have a language of our own, easy for us not so for you to explain....

If you have it coloured have it done regularly and again work with your regular stylist to create a nice soft elegant colour. Remember most bride wear white or off white, so get a colour that is going to give your face depth and not make you look to pasty and washed out.  If you have colours done regularly make sure it’s booked the week before the wedding so is has time to settle and it is fresh and crisp looking. I prefer the hair not to be cut the week of the wedding also only because the ends can be too blunt looking, so plan it in the visit before.

There are always options too that are available if your hair isn’t quite long enough for the style you have chosen. I do use a lot of Clip In Hair extensions that can give even the short Hairstyle a new winning, WOW factor to the wedding day.........Just because your hair is shorter than what you intend doesn’t mean you can’t have the look you always wanted.....These are real hair extensions and are able to be purchased through a consult at time of your trial. I do have a full selection of colour range to match or enhance your own hair colour....

Advice is always available and a phone call away, I am more than happy to help where ever I can.....

NB:  I must point out if you are getting someone to come to your home; there is a requirement here in WA that they are a fully qualified and Registered Hairdresser. You can check this at anytime by contacting the HRB (Hairdressing Registration Board) email - inspector@hrb.org.au
